Sinclair Spectrum 48k
This machine was a massive hit in the UK, selling more than even the mighty
Commodore 64. Okay, so the graphics and sound weren't as good, but there
were masses of games available... and it was cheep. There was initially a 16k
version, but this was the one to have. Personally, I prefer this model to
the later ones with proper keyboards, built in joystick ports, more Ram,
built in tape or disk drives. It's just the purity of the design I guess...
'if it's not vital, don't include it'.
