Spencer Street In New Bradwell
This is the end of the terrace, viewed from the rear. There is only a very small section of
this historic street left now, as the local council decided to demolish most of the houses
about 30 years ago,
rather than renovate them. The name Spencer comes from Earl Spencer of Althorpe, in Northamptonshire,
who sold the land to the railway. He was the great grandfather of The Princess of Wales, if you were
wondering.
