Kingsbrook School, 80's Reunion Chatroom

Instructions:

• To Enter: Click on the Enter Chat button above, or below, you will be presented with a new page in a popup window, which contains the chatroom and menu.



• Java: You will recieve an alert asking if you wish to allow the java applet to run on your machine. Click on Yes , it`s perfectly safe.
  If you`re running behind a firewall, you will need to allow your browser to act as a server.



• Names: Enter the name of your choosing in the box where it says Choose a name . There is a nine letter limit, and many common names like John or Jane are already registered. Using a registered name could cause you to be ejected from the chat network, though you`d recieve an alert first to tell you. Just adding a number at the end of your name solves this problem, or use a nickname, if you don`t want to use your real name.
  If you`d like to change your name while in the room, just type /nick yournewname.



• Server List: The default server for connecting to the chatroom is random. If you have difficulty connecting, try selecting one of the other servers in the list.
  When you are ready to join the room, just click on the Connect Now button.



• Private Chat: You can chat privately with people in the room by double clicking on their name in the chatters list on the right.



• The Chatroom Menu: This menu on the right will feature information, contact details and photos of anyone who wishes to add them here, a message board, links to people`s personal websites, and anything else people would like to see included. Please be aware that Steve runs this site as a hobby, and also hosts another busy chatroom, so additions may take a little time.
