Now if that didn`t totally freak you out, you can see and talk to me in my Webcam Chatroom , if you like. I am in the chatroom right now. There`s a really interesting and funny bunch of people who hang out there with me... most of them have webcams too. If you don't feel like chatting, but would like to know what's on my mind today, you can read my daily updated weblog. Truth is, you'll get a much better idea of who I am and what I'm about from the weblog than from this page, and better yet, you can leave comments on the daily posts.

I`m a musician, artist, writer, and all round creative person, though I have several other hobbies, including Amiga Computers, (to see a rundown of my setup, click Here) ... Angling ... CB radio, and am also into Formula 1 motor racing, and call me sad if you like, but I enjoy WWF Wrestling too. (I can`t help it... it`s just too funny.)

My taste in Music is very varied. Yeah, they all say that, so click on the link and see for yourself, download some of my own music from the MP3 section of this site, or go and have a listen to Benway Radio.
I also love Films ... Books, and am building up quite a collection of Retro games consoles and vintage computers .

As you know, I`m a musician, artist and writer, so I`d like as many people as possible to have access to my work, and putting it on the web seemed like the best way to get it noticed. The thing is, there`s an awful lot of musicians etc sites already out there, most of them languishing in obscurity. So... I`ve found that by adding lots of other content, a lot more people come here, some for the webcams, some for the games. It gets the site noticed, and more people become aware of my work. Also, at the end of the day, I love doing web design, and am constantly looking for new and interesting things to add to the site. It would be such a waste to have just done the section with my tunes, and then left it at that.
Ultimately, one way or the other, I want to be famous, and while I may not be a household name, an awful lot of people have heard of me to some degree, on the net.

And finally....the name, Benway.
Dr Benway is a character in William Burroughs' book 'Naked Lunch' (The film version does Dr Benway no justice at all). His mad sense of humour appealed to me, so I used Dr Benway as a handle on the CB. Then when I got on the net, and started using IRC, I shortened it to just Benway...to save on typing.
